“Young people are not only the future of the Church, they are the present of the Church.” — (Pope Francis)
Young people are at the heart of the Jesus Youth mission. The Youth Ministry exists to accompany them as they encounter Jesus Christ personally and grow as disciples within the life of the Church.
Rooted in prayer and community, the ministry creates spaces where young people can belong, be formed, and deepen their relationship with God. Through shared prayer, fellowship, and ongoing formation, youth are encouraged to grow in faith, support one another, and discover the joy of living a Christ-centred life.
As young disciples mature, the Youth Ministry nurtures a spirit of mission — helping young people discern their vocation, develop leadership rooted in service, and live their faith confidently in everyday life. Faith is not presented as something separate from daily experience, but as a living relationship that shapes how they love, serve, and witness to the Gospel.
Inspired by the Gospel and guided by the Church, the Youth Ministry recognises young people not only as participants, but as active witnesses, called to contribute to the life and mission of the Church today.

Prayer Groups
Local gatherings where young people pray, reflect on Scripture, and grow together through shared faith and fellowship.
Scripture reflection connected to daily life.
Joyful worship that turns hearts to God.
Friendship, support, and walking together.
Real stories that build faith and trust.
While themes may vary, the heart remains the same: prayer, the Word, worship, and shared life — helping young people encounter Christ together.
Retreats & Discipleship
Throughout the year, the Youth Ministry offers retreat experiences that help young people reconnect with God, grow in faith, and take the next step in discipleship.
Short, focused retreats hosted in different regions, usually built around a theme relevant to youth life and faith.
An introductory retreat designed to help young people encounter Christ, understand the Jesus Youth journey, and connect with local prayer groups.
A 10-day summer programme offering deeper formation, community life, and mission exposure — helping young people grow closer to God in a committed way.
These retreats are not isolated events — they are part of a wider journey that leads young people into deeper community, formation, and mission.
Youth in Mission
Youth ministry naturally leads to mission — not as an extra activity, but as a response to encountering Christ. Through simple initiatives, young people witness to the Gospel in everyday settings.

Night Fever is a youth-led outreach where young people invite the public to step into a church, spend a moment in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, and light a candle as a sign of intention. It creates gentle, personal moments of encounter - even for those who may not usually enter a church.

A recent youth-led initiative where faith is lived through sport — building fraternity, discipline, and witness among those who play football.
New initiatives continue to grow from prayer groups as young people respond to local needs and opportunities for outreach.
