Helping Teens Navigate Life With Christ at the Centre
The Teens Ministry began in 2018 with small gatherings of young people who desired to grow in faith together. As these groups continued meeting, the leaders recognised the need for deeper formation. This led to the first retreats, where many teens experienced a personal and life-changing encounter with God. From there, the ministry expanded to include CHOSEN, a five-day discipleship programme; theme-based weekends on topics such as Theology of the Body and Apologetics; skills-based trainings in music, worship, drama, and media; and a variety of mission outreaches.
From its very beginning, the Jesus Youth movement had nurtured a special call to accompany young people in their journey of faith. The formation plan of the Jesus Youth, drawn from its vast experiences over the years, is designed to help young people move ahead and sustain their faith in a balanced manner.
In 2023, under the vision of our teen ministry animators and in preparation for the great jubilee in 2033 where JY UK hopes to form 2000 missionary disciples, JY teens ministry launched a four year formalised formation program from teens called Exodus, for teens who have shown a commitment and desire to grow in spiritual life.

ENCOUNTER is our initial retreat designed to introduce teens to the beauty of the Christian faith. Through prayer, worship, fellowship and sessions, teens are given the space to experience a personal encounter with God.

CHOSEN is our five-day discipleship training programme that helps teens grow deeper in their faith and begin their journey as intentional disciples.
Formation
Exodus
EXODUS Formation is a long-term discipleship journey for Catholic teens who are ready to take their faith seriously. The programme helps young people move from simply knowing about Jesus to truly following Him. The goal of Exodus is to form mature missionary disciples who will serve joyfully in their parishes, communities, and the wider Church.

Prayer Groups
Prayer groups are at the heart of Jesus Youth—a place of belonging, friendship, and spiritual growth. They provide a welcoming space where young people can pray together, share their faith, and journey deeply with others who desire to follow Christ.
In the UK, Jesus Youth hosts teens prayer groups in over 14 locations, creating vibrant local communities where teens can be supported, encouraged and formed.
